Children Mental Health Team Manager

Suffolk County Council is looking for a Practice Manager to join their Co-ordinated Help and Risk Intervention (CHRIS) Service.

This is a Locum Social Work role.

CHRIS provides a psycho-social risk support service for children and young people who may be demonstrating various risk behaviours, emotional distress, and networks (professional and family) struggling to 'contain' them.

As the Practice Manager you will act as a catalyst for change working directly alongside children, young people and their families.

Your responsibilities as a Practice Manager:

• To participate in and contribute to the leadership of MDT Reviews and Triage meetings within the service.
• To be responsible for managing the delivery of effective and high-quality evidence-based treatment packages within the Crisis pathway.
• To provide management advice, leadership, supervision and operational management to staff.
• To demonstrate clinical excellence in relation to clinical reasoning and decision making when managing complex cases.
• Provide safeguarding supervision to the team in conjunction with the Designated Nurse for Safeguarding.
• To work in partnership with other agencies and organisations to provide a consistent and joined up service experience for CYP and families.
• To promote co-production and inclusion within the on-going development and delivery of the service, with stakeholders (e.g., Suffolk Parent Carer Network, Young Person participation workers).

Requirements of you as a Practice Manager:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Have competent knowledge and experience within CP/CIN and Management
• A valid UK Driving Licence and vehicle is required

Location: Ipswich, Suffolk

Umbrella pay rate: £45.00p/h
