Children's Residential Support Worker (NVQ Level 3 Preferred)

Location: Garstang
Salary: £11.90 PAYE + holiday pay, or £14.57 minimum via Umbrella Company

Are you an experienced and compassionate support worker looking to make a positive impact on the lives of children? We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to children with learning disabilities, emotional behavioural disorders, and challenging behaviours.

About the Role
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping young people thrive in a safe and supportive environment. You will be working in a residential service in Garstang, assisting children with their daily needs, promoting positive behaviour, and contributing to their overall well-being.

This is a Temp-to-Perm opportunity for successful candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide care and support to children with learning disabilities and behavioural challenges
  • Assist with daily activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of each child
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a nurturing and positive environment
  • Maintain clear communication with the team, children, and families
  • Follow care plans and support strategies tailored to individual needs

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Previous experience in children's residential services is essential
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential (preferred)
  • Enhanced Child and Adults DBS on the Update Service
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Flexibility to work rolling shifts, including sleep-ins, with 2 days on and 4 days off
  • Ability to travel to Garstang using your own vehicle

Shift Pattern
This role operates on a rolling rota with 2 days on, including sleep-in shifts, followed by 4 days off, ensuring a balanced work schedule.
