Fostering Team Manager

An Independent Fostering Agency is looking for a Team Manager for their well-thought of Fostering team.

This role is a full-time and permanent position. The ideal Social Worker will have experience as a Senior Fostering Social Worker or Fostering Manager preferably within the private sector. This could be a hybrid position.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Team Manager:

• Assessing, training and supporting Supervising Social Workers & Form F Assessors
• Promoting the welfare of children placed with foster carers
• Staff Management
• Supporting the organisation in ensuring that the service is run in line with the Government Legislation, Regulations and Standards, together with the Inspecting Body
• Working within assigned budgets
• Contribution to the strategic development of the Fostering service

Requirements for the Team Manager:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Significant experience of working within a Fostering team
• Experience of working as a Senior Social Worker or Manager
• Experience of working with an Independent Fostering Agency (desriable)
• An excellent knowledge and understanding of the current legislation and frameworks relevant to Children Social Care and Fostering
• You must hold a full UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle to travel to other areas

Location: Birmingham

Salary: Dependent on experience
