Job description

A Family Assessment Centre is looking for a Parenting Assessments Social Worker to work at their home in a picturesque setting in Lancashire.


This role is a full-time & permanent position. The ideal Social Worker will have experience of Court work and Assessment experience.

Duties & Responsibilities for you as the Family Assessment Social Worker:

  • Undertake assessments of families in a robust yet sympathetic manner
  • Ensure the best possible outcome for people in care
  • Provide support, guidance and advice for staff and service users
  • Have prior knowledge and keep up to date with current legislation
  • Managing a caseload of 6 families

Requirements for you as the Family Assessment Social Worker:

  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • A thorough understanding of the family assessment process
  • Court Work experience
  • PAMs qualification (desirable)
  • Be willing to participate in an out of hours' rota and undertake assessments

Location: Lancashire/Greater Manchester

Salary Scale: £32,000 - £38,000 d.o.e
