Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Birmingham

Salary: £46,148 - £52,809 DOE (Pro Rata)

Hours: Flexible working hours available.

My client is a leading national charity supporting adults who have suffered from Brain Injuries. Comprising of assessment centres, rehabilitation units and hospitals they are looking for a Senior Speech and Language Therapist for their service in Birmingham.

The service supports adults who have suffered with cognitive, physical and/or emotional symptoms following a brain injury. The Senior SaLT will provide leadership and support to a multi-disciplinary team who support the rehabilitation of those that utilise the service.

The right candidate will have:

  • Have a Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Registered with the HCPC
  • Achieved Dysphagia Competencies
  • Specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in ABI e.g. social communication, cognitive communication, communication partner training.
  • Able to manage complex dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload
  • Minimum 4 years qualified experience encompassing complex case management
